Papers relating to the family of Sir Guilford Lindsey Molesworth (1822-1925), engineer, maternal Uncle of Guilford Lindsay Edwards.
Consists of: Printed booklet Memoir & Autobiographical Notes by Sir Guildford Molesworth, K.C.I.E., M. Inst. C.E., Jun 1910, outlining his background, education, and railway engineering work in Ceylon [Sir Lanka], India, Burma, Uganda and Siam [Thailand], and his position as President of the Institute of Civil Engineers; mounted cutting ‘Original Medal in the British Museum’, 1885, relating to Richard Molesworth; cyanotype? copy of the 'Pedigree of the Family of Molesworth', together with tomb inscription in the parish church of Molesworth, Huntingdonshire, and extract from ‘The lives of the Lindsays’; copy of obituary of Sir Guilford Molesworth from the Sydney Morning Herald, 17 Jun 1922, printed from the National Library of Australia website; also note that portrait of Molesworth was in the Royal Indian Engineering College, Coopers Hill, Surrey.
