(1).Coloured sketches of 'Peers' Robes', and related costume notes including a letter (30 Jul 1919) to Miss Daw from B. J. Simmons & Co. (Historical and Theatrical Costumiers) on Iolanthe costumes. Also, autograph notes in W. S. Gilbert's hand on Iolanthe props (bespoke paper, 24 The Boltons, South Kensington). Typed notes (carbon, 2 sheets) headed Iolanthe about Peers' costumes, annotated in pencil: 'Notes for Canada / 6th Sept 1928'.
(2). Various papers (1920s-1990s) concerning Iolanthe, including correspondence regarding make-up, costumes, set designs, publicity and broadcasting. The file also includes historical information, fabric samples and mounted sketches on transparent film of ‘Phyllis’ and ‘Stephron’ by James Hendy.
