pp. 1-651: The Lives of the Great Moguls. English translation of the 2nd part of Deel IV of François Valentyn's Oud en Nieuw Oost-Indiën, comprising his Levens der Groote Mogols, of der Keizeren van Hindoestan, pp. 162-311. (The last-mentioned page contains a list of names of the Directors of the Dutch factory at Surat, which is an appendix to pp. 143-60 of the original). Of the translation, pp. 261-71 are on loose leaves and constitute, apparently, part of a rough copy, pp. 273-80 having been left blank for the contents of pp. 261-71 to be copied in. (They correspond with pp. 214-16 of the original).
