J57: Vol. II, Chapter I: Of the Factory or Commercial Residency at Nagelwanze ; p. 207: Chapter II: Of the Royal Residence or Capital of Golconda ; [Here are two loose unnumbered pages (326 a & b) containing a Description of the Town Ikkeri translated from Pietro della Valle's Voyages (the passage in the French edition of 1664 is on pp. 211-12 of Tom. IV)]. p. 327: Vol III, Chapter I: Of the Honble Company's own Villages comprehending also Narsapoor [=Narsapur] & Madepollam [=Madhavapalam]; p. 357: Chapter II: Of the Factory or Establishment at Daatzerom [=Daatcherom]. p. 376: Chapter III: Of Bimlipatam. The work is full of detailed topographical, commercial, and general information. Translated from D. Havart Op- en ondergang van Cormandel in zijn binnenste geheel open en ten toon gesteld. Waar in nauwkeurig verhandeld word een ware, en duydelijke beschrijving van alles, wat op Zuyder, en Noorder Cormandel, . . . aanmerkens, waardig te zien is. Als mede de Handel der Hollanders, . . . . this work, to which, I have not had access, is described in the Catalogus der Koloniale Bibliotheek (at the Hague) as having been printed at Amsterdam in 1693; but the MS. Translation says it was printed at Utrecht in 1692.
2, p. 391: Plan of Golconda. Showing merely the general outlines. Tinted. The scale is given in Dutch.
3, p. 395: A brief extract (translated presumably from the Dutch) about the English post at Madepolam [Madhavapalam]; (contains no information).
4, pp. 401-3: To prepare Steel from Iron. This extract should have appeared on p. 293 of 1 supra, but had been sent separately to Mackenzie.
