A neat Description from Malakka the Netherland’s Place on the Island Sumatra together with a large Land description of the Island Ceilon and a neat relation of its Emperours, and affairs happened here in ancient times.
Also of the Netherland's place upon the Coast from Mallabar, and of Our Trade at Japan And at last an description From the Cape the Good Hope and the Island Mauritius with the affairs belonging to the aforesaid Realms, and Countries. illustrated with many draughts of Charts By François-Valentyn. lately Servant of the Devine Service at Amboina, Banda, &a Fifth Volume.
Translated from the first part of Deel V of François Valentyn's Oud en Nieuw Cost-Indien, being pp. 1-125 of the Beschryving der Kust van Choromandel and dealing (in spite of the comprehensive title, which covers the whole volume) only with Coromandel. This work is continued in 89.II infra. q.v.
