Fragment of an Official Letter from the Governor Qurrah ben Sharik (P.Lond. IV 1385, TM 19839)
- Scope & Content:
-
Fragment of a letter presumably from the governor Qurrah ben Sharik, of which parts of five lines survive. The letter may have concerned the problem of fugitives and seems to suggest a requisition of some type, perhaps related to this matter. At the bottom, a brown clay seal figuring a star and an animal (horse or wolf) is still preserved.
