Minutes of the Council of the Hakluyt Society, from Oct 1979 to Oct 1987. Includes minutes of Annual General Meetings.
Minutes are signed by various chairman including Edmond S. de Beer, Glyndwr Williams, C.F. Beckingham, David Beers Quinn, and Sir Harold Smedley.
Various Printed Reports of the Hakluyt Society and printed notices for the AGM are included in the volumes from 1978-1986. Copies of proposals, correspondence, and supporting papers - including those from sub-committees - are included. Minutes are typescript and are pasted into the volume. Also includes some agendas and notes for the President for various meetings.
