Letter, dated Bombay, 22 October 1754, from Thomas Dorrill to the Governor and Council of Bombay. Copy. Protests against the detention of his person at Bombay, and offers security for his appearance in England. (3) p. 30 (38.5 x 24 cm.). Represents the injustice of their proceedings and pleads the Habeas Corpus, proves the attorney (Samuel) Nucella to be mad. (6) pp. 45-49 (38 x 24.5 cm.). Nucella's pleading to the Mayor’s Court to admit Dorrill's claim to the Habeas Corpus. pp. 50-1 endorsement. (7) pp. 53-63 (37.6 x 24.8 cm.). Bill of complaint [to the Mayor’s Court] of the Governor and Council against (Thomas) Dorrill, (John) Robinson, and (Charles) Waters, dated Bombay, December 23rd 1754. Copy.
