A petition addressed to an unnamed landlord, most likely a member of the Apion family, from Pieous from Kineas epoikion, a hamlet in the Oxyrhynchite nome. The man is a colonus adscripticius (registered farmer) who had escaped from his farming three years earlier and is now begging to be restored there and to be excused from the rent on land during his absence.

Two fragments of varying size from a papyrus sheet, one being the upper part of the document and the other its lower part, with at least one line lost in between; written on one side along the fibres and housed in one glass case. The surface is damaged on the upper left-hand side. Because of the carelessness of the text, which displays mistakes and omissions corrected by insertion, the text may be a draft.

Dimensions: Upper fragment: 105 x 220 mm; Lower fragment: 165 x 240 mm. Housed in one glass case measuring 330 x 280 mm.
Script: Main body of the document: sloping cursive. Different hands in the first 2 lines, the first being tall and upright, the second squarer hand and slightly inclined.
