1, pp. 1-4. index of the proper names in a map of Coromandel from Madrass to Negapatam, communicated to me by M. D'Anville, as the names stand in the squares into which I divided the Map, together with an opposite column of the same names as they should be spelt in English, which I respelt to be thus inserted in a copy of the same map drawn for me by Mr. Hurde in 1775. See 336. 5.

5, pp. 131-134. Index of the names of places in a large map of Col. H eron's march from Tritchinopoly into the Tinnevelly Country in 1755. This Map was given to me by General Joseph Smith and is bound in Vol. XI., in which it stands No.1. The names of the places stand as they occur in latitude from Jumbakistna. The map here referred to and the maps referred to in Nos. 6 and 7 below are not to be found in the Orme Collection, but see "A drawn plan of the Army's march from Trichinopoly to Madura, by William Jennings, 1755," Brit. Mus., K. 115 (84).
