Recto: Three fragmentary columns from a land-register of the late 3rd century, recording farmers and crops of land belonging to kleroi, for each of which the numbered cadastral parcel is specified. The register may be concerned with state land.
Verso: Draft of a will of a Roman citizen, making provisions for the daughter, wife and mother, and appointing a guardian for the minor sons; among the other instructions, the man also provides a substitute in case of death of the heirs, orders release of slaves, sets the maintenance of his sister and fixes the salary of his bailiff. In the missing part the testator’s sons were presumably stated as heirs.

Script: Different hands: on the recto, practised upright hand of chancery type; on the verso, large irregular and cursive business hand, slightly inclined to the right.
