Foliation: Royal MS 17 A xxlii: ff. 82 (+ 3 unfoliated paper flyleaves and 2 unfoliated parchment flyleaves at the beginning and 1 unfoliated parchment flyleaf following f. 81) + Royal MS 17 A xxliv: ff. 12 (+ 2 unfoliated paper leaves at the beginning and 2 at the end) + Royal MS 17 A xliii: ff. 23 (+ 1 unfoliated paper flyleaf at the beginning and 4 unfoliated paper flyleaves at the end).
Binding: Post 1600. BM/BL in-house. The three manuscripts were bound together in 1966.

'RT' inscribed in an early modern hand between drawings of a thistle, rose and oak (f. 1r)
The Old Royal Library (the English Royal Library): a modern shelfmark on a parchment flyleaf f. [iv] recto; presented to the British Museum by George II in 1757 as part of the Old Royal Library. The three manuscripts, currently Royal MS 17 A XLII, Royal MS 17 A XLIII and Royal MS 17 A XLIV were bound together in 1966.
