Chronological correspondence to and from the Office of the Executive Director. Correspondence are organised by year and Executive Director:
1958-1983: J.O.A. Herrington
Includes: correspondence with The British Council, The US Embassy, and the Department of Education and Science relating to grant information and invitations to receptions. Also includes a copy of the Congressional Record of the Senate as it mentions the 25th Anniversary of the Fulbright Act [2 Aug 1971].
1984-1991: Captain Franklin
Includes: 3 photographs of an unidentified event, labelled with the persons photographed, including; Captain Franklin, Dr Walshe, Dr Stokes, Dr & Mrs Scheinberg, Dr Steinlieb, Mrs Collins, and Dr & Mrs Warren. Correspondence with The US Embassy, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department of Education and Science relating to creating new Commission members, and invitations to meetings. Also includes papers detailing the tenures of British Members of the Fulbright Commission, and the succession of Chairmen [1990].
Also includes a note of thanks from Cynthia Huff inserted in her book she offered to the Commission, written from her experience as a Fulbright Scholar [1987].
1997-2000: James Moore
Correspondence with the British Council, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and Sir Geoffrey Leigh, Chairman of the Fulbright Commission. Includes photocopies of letters from Sir Nicolas Bevan, William Hague, Jack Straw, and Lord Geoffrey Howe [2002]. The majority of the correspondence is in relation to bringing in more sponsorship for awards and grants as well as globalising the Commission's outlook.
2002-2004: Carol Madison Graham
Correspondence with the Universities; such as Ulster, Brunel, Kings College London, and the National Film and Television School, the Fulbright Kommission in Germany, the US Department of State, Owen Paterson MP, Mary Hockaday at the BBC, and the Anne Frank Trust, as well as other organisations. Correspondence ranges from discussion about scholars and their chosen programs, invitations to events and the organisation of bank accounts and the running of the Commission.
2007: Penny Egan
Contract between the US-UK Fulbright Commission and Bates, Wells & Braithwaite to act on the Commission behalf in legal matters [2007].
