1, pp. 1-20 (32.3 x 20 cm.). Histoire abrégée de l’irruption de Nadercha à dely. Translated in 23.11, but copied from 217. 2. Copied in India IX. 8. In French, apparently by M. Bussy.
2, p. 21 (59.5 x 40 cm.). Extracts from the Pechaheh or Custom office Receipts at Moorshedabad, of Duties on Raw Silk and Silk peice Goods from the Bengal year 1156 to 1175 or from 1749 to 1769, to which I have subjoined the value of the post of such Goods from the medium Calculates of the Putney or first Cost, winding or weaving Duties, Agents’ Expenses, transportation Inland, and charges Exportation if sent abroad by sea - Risk by Land or River transportation not included. Copy. There is nothing to indicate the writer of this paper.
3, pp. 23-27 (20.5 x 16 cm.). An Index. It is not clear to what this belongs.

5, pp. 35-36 (39 x 25.5 cm.). Abstract of a letter, dated 31 March 1757, from Mr. W-n, giving an account of the Expedition against Chandernagore. Duplicate of 32. 4 above.
6, pp. 39-43 (32.5 x 20.5 cm.). My [i.e., Orme's] account of Meer Jaffeir’s treaty. Copy. Imperfect. Written in 1769.
7, pp. 47-73 (24 x 19 cm.). My [i.e., Orme's] abstract concerning the [march of the] army to Muxadabad, from June 23rd to July 6th, taken from Colonel Coote's Journal (see V 11.3). Original.
8, pp. 75-78 (32.3 x 20.3 cm.). Translate of the Sunnud granted to the Honble Company by Meer Jaffier Cawn. Copy.
9, pp. 79-110 (22.8 x 18 cm.). Mr. [Harry] Verelst's Minute on the Company's Trade in General throughout these Provinces. Copy. By "these Provinces" is meant the Bengal Presidency, which originally included the three Provinces of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa.
10, pp. 111-112 (20 x 16 cm.). General [? Richard] Smith's Minute of the Race of Mahahderow. A short note on the family of the Maratha Peshwas. Madhu-rao was the fourth Peshwa (1761-1772).
11, p. 113 (20 x 16 cm.). Surveyor [James] Rennel's note of the north boundary of Bengal. Duplicate of 134. 6.
12, p. 114 (20 x 16 cm.). Surajah Dowlah's death, by R. O. Original. A mere note, and imperfect.
13, pp. 115,-122 (32.5 x 20.5 cm.). Orders and instructions of the East India Company to the Governor and Council at Fort William respecting the reduction of Interest upon money owed by the Company at Bengal. Printed. Not dated, but apparently to take effect from the 1st August 1776.
14, pp. 123-125 (32.2 x 19.5). List of Mémoires and papers given to me [i.e., Orme] by General Richard Smith on his arrival from India 1770. In Orme's handwriting. All these papers are to be found copied in the India volumes, and most of the Originals in the present series.
15, pp. 127-133 (32.2.x 20 cm.). A Bill for the more effectually raising a Military Force for the Protection of the Settlements and Possessions of the East India Company, 1773. Copy.
16, pp. 135-140 (30.x 19.5 cm.). Colonel [Alexander] Champion’s letter to the Governor and Council of [Bengal], dated Camp on the Fields of St. George, 24th April 1774. Copy. Copied in XVII. 45. Describes his victory over the Rohillas. A note at the end says that though the victory was due to Captains Ironside, Bevan, and Delafield, no notice was taken of their services, "while a parcel of Scotch Aid de Camps, retainers to Mr. Graham and who were forced into Col. Champion's family, were recommended for carrying half a dozen orders and messages. What excellent encouragement!" N.B. The battle was fought on 23 April, or St. George's, Day; hence the name.
17, pp. 143-150 (23 x 18.5 cm.). Letter from Colonel [Philip] Delafield to General Richard Smith, dated Benares, November 25th 1774. Original. Copied in XVII. 46. Describes briefly the negotiations with the Rohillas, and gives some information regarding the source of the Ganges.
