A box of costume designs, including designs by Luciana Arrighi, Patricia Freeborn, and Osbert Lancaster for different operas, and including some additional material. This box is a continuation of two previous boxes (Add MS 89231/11/74-5) and includes further costume designs by Luciana Arrighi for the 1968 production of The Gondoliers. There is a checklist of box contents dated 2009 (Victoria & Albert Museum).
The numbering of the items in the box is continuous with the previous two boxes (which contained designs numbered 1-65). This box begins with item no. 66 (item numbers are written in pencil on the versos of items).
This box is in agreement with the checklist, except for items 82 and 83 which are not present (two designs by Bruno Santini for Iolanthe). The box contains:
