An album of black and white photographs of painted scenery used for a number of different Gilbert and Sullivan productions. The photographs are pasted into an album, the pages annotated with the name of the opera and sometimes with the name of the artist.
A typed note pasted onto the inside front cover indicates that the album was assembled in 1949 from negatives held by the London News Agency, although some scenery is of earlier date. At the end of the album there are photographs added of a later date: The Mikado (1952), and Princess Ida (1954).
