Covers the Matala tribal stronghold approximately 15 miles north-northwest of Bloemhof in northern Transvaal. Portrays hydrology, relief by spot heights and approximate contours, roads and paths, settlements and isolated buildings, water sources and place names, and includes topographical notes.
Items WOMAT/AFR/TRA/35 to WOMAT/AFR/TRA/41 form a set of maps numbered 1 to 7 that have been used to compile Topographical Section, General Staff sheets TSGS 2249 to TSGS 2255, although not in that order. This is sheet 'No. 2' and has been used to compile TSGS 2249 filed at Maps MOD TSGS 2249.
