Composites of photo-reductions made in Intelligence Division, War Office. One sheet covers the whole of British Bechuanaland; 8 further sheets cover the railway line, sometimes shown as 'proposed', from Mafeking in British Bechuanaland 500 miles north-eastwards through Bechuanaland Protectorate and on to Bulawayo in Rhodesia. Some sheets compiled by the Surveyor-General British Bechuanaland. The original maps were in colour; legibility, particularly of land ownership details, is impaired on these black and white reproductions.
