Covers a 500-mile road route north-eastwards from Vryburg in eastern British Bechuanaland to Macloutsie Camp in eastern Bechuanaland Protectorate to a width of approximately 30 miles. The route lies close to the border with the South African Republic (named as Transvaal on the map), although detail beyond the border is sparse. Portrays hydrology, relief by hachures, vegetation, railways, roads, telegraph lines and place names. Surveyed by the Surveyor General of Bechuanaland [Mr A.H.F. Duncan].
The verso bears the references 'B-142/99' and '2'.

NB Macloutsie Camp is approximately 70 miles east-southeast of the town of Macloutsie.
