Brief correspondence following the death of Bertha Lewis concerning her estate. Letters from Hulbert, Crowe & Hulbert (Solicitors, Liverpool Street), and the Evelyn Nursing Home, Cambridge.
A copy letter dated 8 Jun 1931 from [Richard Collet] to Miss Gladys Lewis, West Ealing, inquires about what should be done about 'a trunk and basket which belonged to Bertha. We were storing them for her. They apparently came from the house in Adelaide Road, Hampstead, when that was given up.' There is no reply from Gladys Lewis in the file, but this copy letter perhaps explains the presence of the Bertha Lewis material in the D'Oyly Carte archive.
