Map produced on expedition with mining and protectorate administrative aims. Covers the Great Makarikari Lake in north-eastern Bechuanaland Republic and the surrounding area to a radius of approximately 50 miles. Printed base map portrays hydrology, relief by hachures, tracks, settlements, course of proposed railway, water sources and place names, and includes topographical notes. Manuscript additions portray traverse lines, survey stations and fence beacons, and include additional water sources and place names.
