Route taken by Mr John Baird on a journey from Addis Abeba to Metemma in north-western Abyssinia.
Originally comprising 3 ferro-gallic prints numbered 1 to 3, the War Office ledger records them as designated for destruction in 1963, although an adjacent manuscript note reads 'Sheet 1 & 2 only'.
This item is a fragment (approximately 25 x 32cm) of the south-east corner of Sheet 3, and portrays hydrology, roads, settlements and place names.
