Whole-country general map. Portrays hydrology, relief by spot heights and shading, roads, railways, telegraph lines, settlements, place names, police stations, customs points, shipping routes, and international and administrative boundaries. The Caprivi Strip is shown as an inset. Signed by R.Fischer, F. Heine and H. Wehlmann; engraved by E. Heiden; terrain by F. Klimesch; printed and published by Dietrich Reimer.
Note: The War Officer ledger lists, crossed through, an accompanying correction trace by the Surveyor-General Windhoek dated '?1922' which was not part of the transfer to the British Library. The corrections were 'evidently deduced from Damaraland-Gen: 24.'
Two other maps ('Gobabis (S.W. Africa) - Livingstone (Barometric Altitudes)' and 'South West Africa - Angola Boundary Delimitation') also listed in the War Office ledger were not present on transfer.
