- Left side of a poem for the bride on the way to the marital chamber (epithalamium) for Mathaeus, written in hexametres by Dioscorus of Aphrodito. The poem addresses the groom, Mathaeus, and congratulates him on his choice of a high-born and beautiful bride. Classicising in style with references to the love affairs of Olympian gods.

- Papyrus roll complete only at the bottom and left side, written on the recto against the fibres and parallel to them on the back. 24 lines on the front, traces of 5 lines on the back. Folded from the bottom upwards. P.Cair.Masp. II 67180 and P.Cair.Masp II 67181 are fragments of the same papyrus completing it on the top and the right side. Mounted in glass frame.

Dimensions: 225 mm x 70 mm; housed in a glass case measuring 280 x 120 mm.
Script: Uncial hand with considerable cursive elements and inconsistent ligatures. Flowing hand, slanting to the right.

Provenance: Aphrodito, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1545-1753 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1865, d. 1907) on 8 December 1906.
