Geographical Section, General Staff No. 2871, Sheet 'South West Africa', published 1926, revised 1933, with manuscript revision 1937.
General purpose topographical map covering South West Africa from Outjo in the north to Kanus in the south, and extending 250 miles eastwards into Bechuanaland. Portrays hydrology, relief by spot heights and gradient tints, railways, roads and tracks, telegraphs, settlements, place names, trigonometrical stations, water sources, and international and administrative boundaries. Manuscript additions comprise amendments to detail and place names, and marginal listings of wireless stations and aerodromes.
The map bears the note 'Ref. War Office letter M.I.4e/354 (SWA) dt. 9.2.1937.'
