(2). Two letters:
- 30 Mar 1920 (2 sheets). Typed letter signed, Stanley, Hedderwick & Co. to Rupert D'Oyly Carte. 'I enclose a suggestion of a draft letter for you to write to the Company.' The enclosure is not present, but is presumably reflected in the following copy letter.
- 8 Apr 1920 (5 sheets). Typed carbon letter, [Rupert D'Oyly Carte] to The Directors, Savoy Hotel Ltd. The letter, headed 'Savoy Theatre', begins: With reference to the suggested acquisition by the Company of the Savoy Theatre, as I personally am, in effect, owner of the freehold (subject to the Debentures) it is I think desirable, before any dealing is concluded, that the exact position should be recorded, so that it may be independently considered on behalf of, and in the interest of, the Company.'
