- Scope & Content:
- A letter (18 Jan 1917) from Marie Lemon thanking Rupert D'Oyly Carte for his kindness to her and her children. Further letters about Mrs Lemon follow. In a subsequent letter (22 Sep 1917) Rupert advises 'I have done all I am prepared to do in respect of your children'. In 1932, he enquires of two orphanages what happened to Marie Lemon's four children, one of which replies with further information.
