Papers concerning the firm of Robert Maclehose & Co, Hakluyt Society's printers and distributors. Includes correspondence from Terence E. Armstrong, Honorary Secretary of the Hakluyt Society, and memorandum dated 25 Sep 1974 related to issues such as trade discount, servicing and distribution of book orders, stock control, and accounting, as Maclehose took over from Cambridge University Press. Correspondence dated 1977 refers to financial difficulties at Maclehose, and possible consequences for the Society's printing and distribution arrangements. Papers from 1982, including newspaper cuttings, relate to Maclehose & Co going into receivership, and include correspondence relating to the return of sheets from the printing of The Three Voyages of Edmond Halley in the Paramore, 1698-1701, edited by Norman J.W. Thrower (Hakluyt Society, 1982).
