5. Letter from the Earl of Holderness to Mr. Mitchell. The state of Sir Charles Hanbury Williams’s health is such as to render it dangerous for him to remain at St. Petersburg. Lord Holderness encloses the Kings messages to both Houses of Parliament, and the resolutions on them in consequence of which Colonel Amherst has been dispatched with a requisitiorial letter, for the additional 4000 men, stipulated by the treaty with the Landgrave of Hesse.
