Map series in 6 sheets numbered 1 to 6. Portrays hydrology, relief by spot heights and hachures, roads, railways, settlements, place names and administrative boundaries. Sheet 6 has an inset of the Tenasserim Provinces. While the printed date is given as 1869, manuscript additions to railways suggest a date of 1871.
Sheets bear the notes 'Based on Mr J. Walker's engraved sketch map of India, corrected & revised with additions to 1867' [filed at Maps 52410.(34.)] and 'Published under the direction of Colonel H.L. Thuillier, Surveyor General of India.' However, a copy of this map series, on 2 sheets, but bearing the note '3rd Edition with corrections to 1869' is filed at Maps 16.c.26; however, it does not contain the later manuscript additions to railways.
