The second of three volumes which contain watercolours of Chinese flowers, plants and fruits by an unknown Chinese artists from Xiamen, known to Europeans at the time as Emuy or Amoy. Drawings of costumes that were also contained in this volume, were transferred to the British Museum Department of Prints and Drawings, 10 March 1928.
The volume consists of 400 individual drawings which have been stuck down onto larger pages (121 folios). The foliation of this volume refers to the individual drawings, not the pages on which they have been placed. Often there are many drawings stuck to a single page. The pages are not numbered.

The volume is stated to have been sent by Mr [James] Cunningham to Mr [James] Petiver.
The catalogue of additions records the items as 422. However since then 26 items were removed to the department of Prints and Drawings in 1928, then 2 items added with numbers 120 and 121, plus two itemised labels added giving 400. This is consistent with the foliation and foliation summary which gives 400 which was completed in 1928.
