The third of three volumes which contain watercolours of Chinese flowers, plants and fruits by an unknown Chinese artists from Xiamen, known to Europeans at the time as Emuy or Amoy. Drawings of costumes that were also contained in this volume, were transferred to the British Museum Department of Prints and Drawings, 10 March 1928.
The volume consists of 251 individual drawings which have been stuck down onto larger pages (140 folios). The foliation of this volume refers to the individual drawings, not the pages on which they have been placed. Often there are many drawings stuck to a single page. The pages are not numbered.
