Letters to the Court of Directors, dated Fort William the 31st August and 15th November 1771, 26th March and 10th Nov. 1772, 15th Jany. and 31st March 1773, from the Select Committee, Bengal. Copies of official papers concerning the Nawab of Oudh and the Rohillas, &c. Probably supplied to Orme, by his nephew, W. Hosea, whose appointment as Secretary to the Select Committee is intimated in the first of these letters.
2, pp. 59-137. Letters from [?] Mr. W. Hosea between June and December 1773. Copies. To Messrs. William Aldersey, J. Bacheracht, Robert Baillie, Richard Barwell, Bathoe, Bogle, J. B. Chevalier, Henry Cottrell, P. M. Dacres, Fix, Foley, John Graham, Anthony Hardy, Warren Hastings, John Holme, A. Hurnoe, Johnson, Byam Martin, Henry Revell, John Stuart, and George Vansittart. All these letters are dated from Hughli, and appear to be written by the officer in charge of that district.
