Five-part map depicting the 450-mile route along the River Ganges in northern India from Hurdwar south-eastwards to Allahabad. Portrays hydrology, sands, relief by hachures, vegetation and cultivation, settlements, some individual buildings, ghauts and place names. Detail of vegetation, cultivation and settlements has been generalised from the original maps. The India Office map catalogue lists the following sheets, scale 1: 126,720 unless stated:
