Depicts the 380-mile length of the Brahmaputra River between Goalpara and Sudiya in north-eastern India. Portrays hydrology including sands, relief by hachures, vegetation and cultivation, roads and paths, settlements, place names and boundaries of Assam, and includes topographical notes. Signed by J.A. Hodgson, Surveyor General of India.
Comprises 2 sheets as follows:
Sheet 1. Goalpara to Bishenath
Sheet 2. Bishenath to Sudiya
Sheet 3. Sheet 2 bears the note 'In three sheets'; the India Office map catalogue bears the note 'Sheet 3 is wanting.'
