Eight map sheets numbered 1 to 8. Covers the Brahmaputra River in north-east India from Jaffirganj (spelt Jafarganj on the map) 180 miles northwards to approximately 30 miles west of Goalpara. Portrays hydrology, including sand and bank details, relief by hachures and rock drawing, vegetation and cultivation, roads, settlements and place names, and includes Captain Wilcox's triangulation chain from Surajganj to Rangamati (see also IOR/X/535).
