The manuscript is a copy of a Mandinka Ajami poetry written in a pre-electoral context. It prays for peaceful elections and urges voters to fulfill their civic obligations while preserving the tradition of peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding that has been the hallmark of their communities. The targeted audiences include people of Sedhiou, Ziguinchor, Kolda, Oussouye, Tambacounda, and Bignona in the southern Casamance region of Senegal.
Custodial history: The owner inherited it from his father, El-hadji Kaoussou Drame, who received his Islamic education in Sunna-Karantaba. He also had some French education.
