The manuscript is a copy of an Arabic poem by the Moroccan Sufi poet, Abū Alī al-Ḥasan ibn Mas‘ūd al-Yūsī (1631-1691). It has extensive didactic glosses in Mandinka Ajami. It was copied from the original by Mouhamadou Amine Toure, the grandfather of the current owner who also added the Mandinka Ajami glosses.
Custodial history: The current owner photocopied his grandfather's copy.
Extent and format of original material: 83 pages.
Physical characteristics: Spiralbound photocopy manuscript. Some parts are difficult to read.
