This manuscript is the story of arrival of Lokanath Karunamaya [Avalokitesvara] in Nepal. The Bodhisattva of Compassion is verry poular among the Newar Buddhists and the Hindus as well. There is a big charriot festival of Karunamaya celebrated annually in Patan. This manuscript elaborates his story. It is in vernacular Newari language written with Devanagari script. The paper folios are in very good condition. It was copied by Dasa Narayan Chhipa in 1997 VS. The folio size is 30.5X12.5. 1940 CE
