This is a Hindu Purana manuscript in Sanskrit written with Pracalit Newari script. The Varāha Purāṇa is a 12 th century Sanskrit text from the Puranas genre of literature in Hinduism. It belongs to the Vaishna literary corpus praising Lord Vishnu. However, there are chapters dedicated to the praise of Shiva and Shakti. The later is the goddesses called Brahmi, Vaishnavi and Raudri. It was written in Nepal Samvat 979. 1859 CE
