Letters from Lord Granville to his mother Lady Stafford, from his childhood to 1794. The file includes some letters from Lord Granville to his sister, Lady Susan Leveson-Gower, later Lady Harrowby (1772–1838), and letters to Lady Stafford relating to him. Arranged in chronological order, with some dates added in pencil by Castalia Leveson-Gower, Countess Granville (1847-1938).
- 19 letters, chiefly from Lord Granville to Lady Stafford, during his childhood, c 1733, 82-c 1784. Includes 1 letter to Lady Stafford from her step-daughter, Lady Anne Leveson Gower, signed ‘A.L.G.,’ and 1 letter from Lord Chancellor Thurlow to Lady Stafford enclosing a letter to himself from Lord Granville on the subject of translating Livy into English. ff. 1-16.
- 11 letters chiefly from Lord Granville to Lady Stafford, while a student at Christ Church Oxford, 1789-1791. Includes 5 letters to his sister, Susan Leveson-Gower. ff. 17-39.
