• 4 Nov 1983, Bolinas, California. Typed letter from Harwood to Hodgkiss: 'grand to learn that WINE TALES has a definite publication date!'
• 25 Jan 1984. Autograph postcard from Caddel to Hodgkiss.
• 17 Apr 1984. Photocopy letter, Hodgkiss to the British Library, returning CIP data sheet as inaccurate: 'the text consists of prose pieces based on the scenes depicted on wine labels. As such the book has nothing to do with wine making. I would suggest the book is classified in one of the sections covered by the broad heading ENGLISH MISCELLANY'.
• 11 May 1984, Pig Press letterhead. Autograph letter, Caddel to Hodgkiss, supplying corrections.
• 16 Jul 1984, Bolinas. Autograph letter, Harwood to Hodgkiss, having received an advance copy: 'It's a real delight to finally have this book out'.
• 21 Jul 1984, Bolinas. Typed letter, Harwood to Hodgkiss.
• 17 Aug 1984, Bolinas. Autograph letter, Harwood to Hodgkiss. 'I greatly enjoyed your "publicity flyer" for the book which adds one more tale to the saga' [see (2) below].
