(1). Letters received:
- 12 Jan [1985] (dated '1984' in error). Typed on 'fax-like' paper (as are the other letters below). 'Many thanks for your letter and the final copy of Not Poetry, which looks very interesting. It's a pity the absurd economic situation makes it impossible to continue. I think it was as important in its way as, say, Mike Moorcock's New Worlds, in redefining what was possible in "fiction"'. Encloses 'Basement Mix' for consideration (see below).
- 21 Jan 1985. Typed letter: 'delighted that you want to do MIX'.
- 3 Mar 1985. Typed letter, giving Hodgkiss 'carte blanche' with regard toi the cover. 'Did you ever hear any of the earlier tape versions of the piece by the way? I know I distributed a handful via ALP and the mails, and I think Ken Edwards reviewed it somewhere. If you'd like a copy I'll do one for you.' Letter annotated by Hodgkiss: '10 copies sent 22/3/85'.
- 27 Mar 1985. Typed letter, on receipt of the ten copies of Basement Mix. Enclosing audio tape for Hodgkiss.
- 3 Jun 1985. Autograph letter. 'Launching' Basement Mix on 1 Jun at the London Musicians' Collective, 'courtesy of Bob Cobbing's New River Project.'
