(1). Letters received by Peter Hodgkiss from Alan Halsey and from Bill Griffiths:
- Halsey, 'New Year's Letter' (1 bifolium). A poem reproduced from West Midlands Arts' New Writing Supplement (1984).
- 2 Apr 1984. Autograph postcard from Halsey, enclosing photocopy of cover design (see below).
- 28 May 1984. Autograph letter from Halsey, enclosing cover 'original' (see below).
- '?May' [1984]. Autograph letter from Griffiths, enclosing the 'music pages' (see below). Griffiths also comments: 'On typing and rereading, my only uncertainty is whether the two poems following The Giants ["Guide to the Giants of England"] are not a bit weak (i.e. "Ur" & "November"). I have therefore also typed onto stencil a further poem from the earlier material ("Alfred's Prose" - the one about plant growth).'
(2). 'Karl Schmidt's Boethius Version' (Materia Boethiana, pp. 5-7). The 'music pages' referred to in Griffiths's letter (see above). Three A4 sheets with typed text and muisc score written on staved paper adhered in position, ready for photocopying.
(3). Front cover art work by Alan Halsey: original design and 6 black and white photocopies. With original card envelope addressed to Hodgkiss bearing Halsey's address.
