Letter from Dionysius to his mother Tetheus, notifying her of the taxes he has paid, and sending her 112 drachmas through the bearer of the letter, Chaeremon. Of these, 108 drachmas should be used to redeem the clothes he had pawned in order to obtain a loan from Sarapion. The sum he is sending has been lent. With a postscript in the left margin, asking to be informed after the festival as to whether the mother has recovered his clothes, and with address on the back.

Papyrus sheet, complete but damaged by insect holes and with minor abrasion in places; written on both sides along the fibres. The front bears one column of 29 lines, with 2 additional lines written in the left margin along the fibres, perpendicularly to the main text. On the back there is the address, with two words separated by blank space. The number in red refers to the publication in P.Oxy. III. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.
