Soterichus, assistant of directors of the granary (sitologi) of Theadelphia, writes to Bolanus, strategus of the divisions of Themistos and Polemon, and undertakes to recover 1820 silver drachmas, which had been deposited by Chariton and his colleagues, collectors of the crown-tax, on account of the state-cultivators of the village. Penalty applies should Soterichus fail to abide by the terms. With subscription of Soterichus and dating clause at the end.

Papyrus sheet, complete and well preserved, with only minor abrasion in places. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. There are 34 lines, complete; all margins are extant. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Script: Untidy but practised upright hand, more cursive in places; 2nd hand in lines 27-29, unskilled and shaky.
