The folder contains the following papers:

  • Notes on trench digging, with diagrams, for the 63rd (R.N.) Division, 4 June 1917.
  • Instructions for wearing the equipment for carrying Lewis Gun Magazines (includes photographs), issued by the General Staff, October 1917.
  • Amendments to the instructions for the training of platoons for offensive action, 1917.
  • Tank Coloured Disc and Light Code, 2nd Edition.
  • Questions a platoon commander should ask himself, (A) before an attack, and (B) when the objective has been gained.
  • Cards giving the drill for erecting a wire entanglement, obstacle or apron fence.
  • Three picture postcards showing a cavalry officer with his horse.
  • Ticket for the Eden Theatre and Cinema, Rouen.
  • Page from Greater Britain Messenger, with a paragraph about W F Garrod.
  • Order instructing that the 14th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment (Pioneers) under C.E. XIII Corps was responsible for the repair and maintenance of the whole of the road from Factory to Maison-de-la-Cote, 27 April 1917.
