- (1.) Five songs to poems by Ezra Pound and Louis Macneice, for baritone and piano; 1951. The titles of the songs are: 'Δώρια' (also known as 'Be in me'); 'Aubade'; 'Dance figure'; 'An immorality'; 'The Return'. Scores; programme for a performance on 16 May 1951 at the Cercle de l'Union Interallié, Paris.
- (2.) Six Songs to early English poems, for voice and piano; 1952. The titles of the songs are: 'Autumnus'; 'Madrigal'; 'Slow, slow Fresh Fount'; 'Love is a Bable'; 'A Complainte'; and 'Aspatia's Song'. Words by Joshua Fletcher, Thomas Campion, Ben Jonson, Robert Jones (possibly wrongly attributed) anonymous, and Francis Beaumont. Notes and song texts, scores, sketch.
- (3.) 'Cantata for a Summer's Day', for small chorus and chamber orchestra; 1954. Words by Alexander Hume and Maurice Lindsay. Unpublished. Vocal score, full score, on transparencies, with some pencil annotation.
- (4.) 'Contralto Song', from 'Cantata for a Summer's Day', for contralto and piano; 1954. Score, on transparencies. Unpublished.
- (5.) Five Love Songs, for soprano and guitar; 1955. Words by various sixteenth- and seventeenth-century poets and Robert Parry (1540-1612). Score, on transparencies.
- (6.) 'Four Portraits', for baritone, clarinet, and piano; 1956. Words by Sir John Davies. Transposing score, part for clarinet in B-flat.
