Deed recording the sale of half of a house in Pathyris drawn up by Ammonius, the sellers being Taelolous and Siepmous, daughters of Totoes, and the buyer Kobaetesis, daughter of Phagonis, at the price of one talent of copper. Dated to 26 December 113 BC; with summary of the deed (scriptura interior), original clay seal (TM Seal 882), bearing a female face turning left, and deed in full. The bank receipt, issued by the banker Paniscus and acknowledging the payment of the tax on transfer, follows; it is dated to 17 January 112 BC.

Papyrus roll, complete and well preserved, written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. The front bears three columns; the first has 5 lines, the second 11 lines and the third 14 lines, the last 6 of which are indented. All margins are extant; sheet-joins from top to bottom are visible. The original clay seal is preserved. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Provenance: Pathryis (Gebelein), Egypt. Purchased with a lot comprising papyri 1200-1520 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
