Contract drawn up in the notarial office of Pathyris by Hermias, agent of the notary Paniscus, recording the sale of some land in the plain of Pathyris from Panobkhounis, son of Totoes, to Peteharsemtheus, son of Pachoibis, priest of Suchus and Aphrodite, at the price of two talents. With summary of the deed (scriptura interior, originally rolled up and sealed) in column 1 and original clay seal (TM Seal ID 892).

Papyrus roll, complete and well preserved, with minor surface damage in places; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank; there are 2 columns; the first is narrow and comprises 13 lines; the second has 12 broad lines, the last of which is indented. Margins are extant, with a blank to the right measuring 70 mm. The original seal is preserved. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Provenance: Pathryis (Gebelein), Egypt. Purchased with a lot comprising papyri 1200-1520 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 20 November 1903.
